Our Process

THE AVALI APPROACH - A FRAMEWORK FOR SUCESS

Bringing your vision to life on time and on budget requires a solid foundation of shared trust and open communication from beginning to end. That’s why we kick off every new project with a free, no-obligation consultation. It’s an integral part of our tried-and-tested collaborative approach.

1. Discovery & Design

After our initial conversation, we schedule a meeting to dive a little deeper into your home goals. Think of this step as laying down the groundwork for a joint vision. This is where we discuss your lifestyle (present and desired), budget and design objectives as well as your investment goals, as it pertains to your property. We also separate the “want to haves” from the “the need to haves”.

If you have a home designer or architect and interior designer already onboard, we bring them into the conversation to make sure everyone is in complete agreement on how best to build or renovate your home to showcase your lifestyle and make a statement on your block. If you haven’t selected a design team, we can refer you to those we know to be remarkable that align with your personal design taste.

2. Proposal & Budget

At Avali, we take pride in every aspect of our projects, including our proposals. We understand building or renovating your home is a considerable investment and a significant accomplishment. You work hard for your money, so naturally, you expect and deserve to know how it’s being spent—no surprises, no grey areas – just transparency and clarity every step of the way.

We start sourcing out materials from our trusted suppliers and getting input from our network of insured subtrades as part of our proposal process.  Thus, our estimates are comprehensive and detailed, with itemized materials and/or trades costs. Further, we include timelines and milestones to ensure optimal results and an engaging experience for our clients.  We believe it is essential to set clear expectations at the outset.

3. Contract Endorsement

We invite you to ask questions and get acquainted with our team and our proposal.  With your approval, the construction contract is drawn up for you to review.  We use Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contracts that are standardized and written with simple, easy-to-understand language for greater clarity and less legal anxiety.

Once the paperwork is signed, we take the reigns on the construction.  We’ve planned the work; now we work the plan.

4. Construction

Our effective systems for onsite conduct, safety, productivity, and quality control were cultivated from years of hands-on construction and project management experience. With our commitment to being a learning organization, our systems are continuously improving.  You can rest assured that your project is in capable and competent hands.  That said, you are welcome to be as involved or as hands-off as you wish. Either way, your home will be built with the finest of craftsmanship with first-rate attention to detail.

We encourage all our clients to schedule physical or virtual tours regularly throughout the entire process; this ensures that we’re always on the same page on every design decision, no matter how big or small. It is important to keep the design dialogue going, so if we need to pivot, we can do that sooner than later.  We also recommend clients join us in celebrating building milestones, including framing completion, window installation etc.

5. Post-construction Care

Upon completing the project, we conduct a walk-through to identify elements that need correcting before you move in.  We want everything to be as you envisioned before handing over all keys and reprogramming your security systems.

We are proud to meet the rigorous quality, customer service and underwriting criteria to be a Traveler’s Canada-approved builder and include Travelers Canada New Home Warranty with all new homes.

Let’s schedule a time to start the conversation!
